

Ever wondered what truly rare comics exist from the 1980s? One such comic is the called Superman Bradman and was custom produced by DC Comics in 1988. The comic book was commissioned by Godfrey Bradman an English property tycoon. The comic was for his son Daniel's Bar Mitzvah and was given out to his friends to celebrate the event. The comic book featured art by legendary artist Curt Swan, inked by Angelo Torress, and written by David Levin.
The artwork featured Daniel and the Bradman family in a story titled "This Island Bradman". In the story the Bradman family and Superman are teleported to an alien world where they are entertainment for the inhabitants of the planet.
There is wide speculation as to the number of copies of this comic were produced and distributed. The exact numbers are unknown, but so belive it to be either 250 copies or possibly 100. A number of copies were distributed in house at DC Comics and a few copies have turned up for sale in the past few years. One copy sold in 2011 for $1,677 and currently a copy is for sale with a starting bid of $800 on eBay.
