The moment has finally arrived! Bidding begins this Veteran’s Day weekend on approximately 1,500 lots in the ComicConnect.com November 2011 Event Auction.
Bidding begins Friday, November 11, 2011 at 12:00 pm EST.
Coming off the most successful auction in their history the company asked, “What’s next?”
“The highest graded CGC-certified copy of Action Comics #1 on the planet, that’s what!” said Vincent Zurzolo, Chief Operating Officer.
“There’s no doubt this Action Comics #1 CGC 9.0 will set a new world record,” said Rob Reynolds, Director of Consignments. “ComicConnect.com was the first to sell a comic for $1 million dollars and we currently hold the world record for the most valuable comic ever sold, an Action Comics #1 CGC 8.5 for $1.5 million.”
And that’s just the beginning.
In this November Event Auction, ComicConnect.com is offering Superman creator Jerry Siegel’s personal copy of Superman #1 CGC 5.5, his portable Royal typewriter used to create countless Superman stories, a carbon copy of a 1945 Superman story written while Mr. Siegel was serving in the Pacific theater during WWII and several personal effects.

Out of the Pacific Northwest comes the Oregon Collection. From 1954 through 1964, in a small town near Klamath Falls, Oregon, a young man obsessively amassed hundreds of DC comic books that all shared something in common; every single issue in his ever-growing collection featured Superman.
“With perfect climate conditions, these books survived with the same cover gloss and page quality as the day they were printed. As any of you who collect 1950s DCs know, they are almost impossible to find in high grade, especially with superior paper quality. The collection boasts the highest graded copy of Action Comics #252 CGC 9.2 white pages and Superman’s Girlfriend Lois Lane #1 CGC 8.0 white pages,” Zurzolo said.
Titles include Action Comics, Adventure Comics, Superboy, Superman, Lois Lane, Jimmy Olsen, Annuals, and World’s Finest.
