A CGC Certified 9.2 copy of Tales of Suspense #39 with off-white to white pages realized $72,100 after obtaining 36 bids on eBay. The copy sold was from the Saginaw Collection which was newly discovered by Sparkle City Comics. The CGC Census notes 994 copies certified with the highest certified copy tied with three examples grading 9.6.

Hailing from Saginaw Michigan, this original owner collections features complete runs of most major Marvel Titles in astonishing condition. The books from this collection feature vivid deep colors on the covers and the white interior pages. A young man bought everyone of these stunning comics from the same newsstand from 14 years old to 35 years old any read them once carefully and placed them inside plastic in groups of 10 and wrapped them tight. These early Marvels have not seen the light of day for almost 50 years. The Saginaw collection will be offered on eBay exclusively with No Reserve according to Sparkle City Comics.
