CPG is very fortunate to bring our readers a new Golden Age comic discovery. We recently spoke with Al Stoltz of Basement Comics who recently uncovered an unknown version of Adventure Comics #41.

“I was stunned when I saw the promotional use of such an early comic. I knew this particular issue may have a place in comic book history. I have had other comics used to promote movies in the past, but never anything this early and the sticker on the cover was very interesting,” said Stoltz.

The sticker on the cover was originally applied when the corner of cover was folded over and it seems to have been a free comic from a local theater saying that kids could buy the current issue at their local newsstand. Could this be an early or one of the first times a crossover between the two mediums existed?
