According to Doug Schmell, President and CEO of Pedigree Comics, Inc., the high grade CGC certified books continue to come in for their upcoming September Grand Auction, scheduled to begin in just over one week on the night of Wednesday, September 7th, and last for seven (7) days until the evening of Wednesday, September 14th. The auction will have a few hundred choice high grade Marvels and DC’s from the Silver and Bronze Ages. The sooner you consign your books the more exposure and press they will receive. Pedigree aggressively promotes and advertises each Grand Auction on many online sites and trade publications and they also send periodic newsletters to all of their over 17,000 customers announcing the individual auction items. There is no Buyers Premium on any of the lots in the auction and most of the books will have no reserve. Every book is CGC graded and the minimum bid is only $100. You can view over 100 books right now in the Auction Preview at www.PedigreeComics.com.
Mr. Schmell purchased an amazing group of books July 4th weekend at the Florida Supercon in Miami, Florida. The books were literally just graded by the CGC the other day with some unbelievable results and will be available to bid on and purchase in his company’s upcoming auction. There are over 50 comics in this group, with every book in 9.4 or higher and most in 9.6 or 9.8! There is a very diversified selection of Silver Age Marvels and DC’s and Bronze Age Marvels in the group, plus a few gems from the Golden Age, including the best existing copies of Two-Gun Kid #1 and #3 from the Mile High pedigree and a gorgeous Batman #19. Most of the mainstream super-hero titles are represented in the Florida Supercon group and every book has off-white to white or white page quality.

This is a unbelievable group of 9.4 and higher books from a myriad of titles and the books will be graded by next Friday so please make sure you check this space and the site next week. In addition, the grades from the newest batch of books from the original owner Bogota Collection will be released at that time as well. There are 30 Silver Age DC’s in high grade in the Bogota group that you will not want to miss.
If you have high grade CGC certified comic books to sell or consign, do yourself a favor and contact Pedigree Comics. Please go to the site (www.PedigreeComics.com) for all consignment information or contact them at 561-422-1120 or 561-596-911 or by email at DougSchmell@pedigreecomics.com. Again, Pedigree Comics is still accepting consignments for the auction and will do so until midnight on Friday, September 9th.
Consignors maximize their profits selling in the Grand Auction. Pedigree does not charge a Buyers Premium, an amount that most bidders take into consideration when bidding in other sites (the bidders simply deduct that Buyers Premium amount from their final bidding price, meaning less money to the consignor and more to the auction site). The higher the value of your book(s) that sell in a Grand Auction, the more money you take home under Pedigree Comics’ Climbing Scale. They consistently set new sales records for Silver and Bronze Age comics in each Grand Auction and on their regular site inventory listing and they do not saturate the market with the same material over and over every month. Pedigree’s Grand Auctions are unique and exciting, with new and diversified, top-rated CGC material in each event.
Prospective consignors can also upload their own scans, item information, descriptions and reserve amounts for the upcoming September Grand Auction by utilizing the Automated Consignment System. Just register onto the site, click "Customer Page" under "Your Account" and then click "Consignments" (under "Auctions"). You will then be able to enter the Pedigree Comics Consignment Management System and upload your own CGC certified books and magazines. They will receive an email notification automatically once you have uploaded the information and they will then review the information imparted for accuracy. The item(s) will then be added to the September Grand Auction to be bid on.
