A hard to find copy of the first comic book written and published by an African-American, All-Negro Comics, recently sold for $5,000.00 on eBay. The book, graded at 6.5 is listed on the CGC as the second highest graded copy they have seen.
According to the Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide the book is "rare." Gerber calls the book "very rare." The book was so revolutionary for its day (1947) that it was referenced in a than current issue of Time Magazine.
