Recently a CGC 9.8 copy of Giant-Size X-Men #1 closed at $6,500. The copy is currently listed on the CGC Census as tied with 57 other copies as the highest graded copy they have seen. One of those copies is a Signature Series.
The book contains the first appearance of the New X-Men as well as the second full appearance of Wolverine. Nightcrawler, Colossus and Storm all make their debuts in this giant issue. The legendary Gil Kane drew the exciting cover as the new team charged out of the cover and onto the newsstands of the day. Dave Cockrum handled the interiors.
