The results from Pedigree Comics' recently completed May Grand Auction are in and according to Doug Schmell, President and CEO of the auction house, the auction was a great success. Many Silver and Bronze Age Marvels and DC’s sold briskly, particularly early Silver Age Marvels graded CGC 9.4 and higher.

"Many of the 1960s high grade Marvels did phenomenally well. Titles like Amazing Spider-Man, Avengers, Journey Into Mystery, Strange Tales and Tales of Suspense were well represented in the auction and some of the sales from these titles broke long-standing records," said Schmell.

The auction began the night of Monday, May 9, 2011 and ended on Tuesday, May 17, 2011. There were almost 600 CGC certified comic books and magazines to choose from and most of the lots met reserves. The total sales was just under $450,000.
