With the Thor movie being released this past weekend we thought it only right that we would highlight a recent sale of the Norse God’s first appearance in the Marvel Universe. This issue is autographed by Stan Lee and part of the CGC Signature Series. Graded at 6.5 by CGC, this copy of Journey Into Mystery #83 recently sold for $7,500.00 on eBay.
With highly memorable cover by Jack Kirby and interior art by Kirby and Steve Ditko, the book also features the first mention and appearance of Thor’s earthly identity of Doctor Donald Blake. According to the CGC Census, this copy is tied with two others as the second highest graded copy in their Signature Series.
