The results are in from Pedigree Comics, Inc.’s recently completed January Grand Auction. According to CEO and President, Doug Schmell, total sales were just under $350,000.
Many of the books in the auction came from the original owner collection out of Bogota, New Jersey that was consigned to Pedigree last Summer. The initial portion of the collection debuted in Pedigree’s August Grand Auction. More early Silver Age DC’s and Marvels from the Bogota Collection will be featured in Pedigree’s upcoming March Grand Auction, slated to begin on Thursday, March 10th.
Highlights from the auction include: X-Men #1, CGC Certified 9.0 realized $24,751; Flash #123, CGC Certified 9.4 realized $10,100; Green Lantern #76, CGC Certified 9.6 realized $10,100; Amazing Spider-Man #14, CGC Certified 9.4 realized $6,500; Amazing Spider-Man #6, CGC Certified 9.4 realized $6,400; Showcase #30, CGC Certified 9.4 Realized $6,100; Silver Surfer #3, CGC Certified 9.8 realized $5,700; Aquaman #1, CGC Certified 9.4 realized $5,677; X-Men #94, CGC Certified 9.6 (Signature series) realized $5,400; and Showcase #8, CGC Certified 8.0 realized $5,100.
