With the second appearances of The Joker and The Catwoman, Batman #2 is on any fan’s wish list. Recently a copy of the book, GCG Graded 5.0 and holding the Crippen “D” Pedigree, brought $3,135 on eBay. According to the CGC Census, there are four other copies graded 5.0 and only twelve copies graded higher.

A copy of X-Men #1, graded by the seller at 9.0 went for $3,050. The seller noted a small color touch on the cover and provided detailed scans for the collectors who were looking.  Another Marvel Silver Age classic, Incredible Hulk #1, brought $2,540. The seller listed the book at 5.5. The title not only features the origin on f The Incredible Hulk, it contains the artwork of the immortal Jack Kirby.

Another notable DC title, The Brave and Bold #28, with the very first appearance of The Justice League of America, brought $3,500. The seller listed the book at 7.5. With The Martian Manhunter, The Flash, Wonder Woman, Aquaman and Green Lantern fighting Starro, the book is a classic of its day and one of the most important books in the history of the Silver Age.
