Marko Djurdjevic’s original art for the Spider-Man poster Origin of the Species brought $8,125.87. The framed poster art is pencil across six heavy bristol boards (taped in the back) and signed by the artist. The poster covers the last fifty years of Spider-Man’s history and features Mary Jane, Venom, J.J. Jameson and almost everyone who has ever visited the world of the web-slinger.
In other art news on eBay, John Byrne’s original art work for page 2 of Uncanny X-Men #117 brought $8,800 during a recent auction on eBay. Inked by Terry Austin the page features Wolverine, Storm, Cyclops and several other X-Men battling a raging storm over five highly detailed panels.
Michael Turner drew his impression of Wonder Woman in a commissioned drawing that sold for $1,001. With an image area that measures 9" x 10”, the piece was drawn using pencil, sharpie and ink on an Aspen Blue Line Pro Original Sheet which measures 11" by 17".
