Recent CGC sales on eBay

A few weeks into the New Year and sales for CGC graded books are looking strong on eBay.  Here are a few interesting finds from the first two weeks.

A more recent book from Marvel, Ultimate Spider-Man #1 white cover variant with cover art by Mike Bagley and CGC graded 9.8, brought $535.00. The issue was originally shipped in a 1:100 ratio and is considered one of the most desirable variants on the market.

Meanwhile, back in the Silver Age, a CGC 5.5 copy of Amazing Fantasy CGC 5.5 realized 12,500.00. Featuring the first appearance of Spider-Man, the book is highly valued in any grade. As a point of comparison for the title, a copy graded CGC 4.0 realized $6,052.56 while a CGC 1.0 went for $1,626.00. (Neither of the last two books are pictured for this column).

 

Looking ahead to the buzz being created by the upcoming Thor Movie, Journey into Mystery #83 CGC 5.0 went for $3,400.00. Featuring the first appearance of Thor, the CGC Census shows 28 copies of the title graded at 5.5.
