The debut of the Suscha News Pedigree in the ComicConnect.com December Event Auction was received with accolades from collectors and bidders the company told CPG.

“Collectors and dealers whose appetites were merely whetted after the auction are hungry for even more from this pedigree and I can assure you, we are working as fast as we can to get these books to market,” said Rob Reynolds, Director of Consignments. “This is only the first of nearly 50 boxes of comics the collection comprises. Smart collectors know how a pedigree comic in their collection gives instant bragging rights.”

“This stunning collection was amassed by one of the most fastidious collectors I’ve ever met,” said Vincent Zurzolo of ComicConnect.com. “He made a deal with a comic book distributor that allowed him access to newly arrived comics before anyone else got their hands on them.”

Besides low-distribution titles that many collectors just never saw, the original owner of the Suscha News Pedigree would “carefully go through distributor boxes filled with the same issue of a book to get it down to around a dozen or so mint copies to find the MOST mint copies in the group. Only books with the best centering, the shiniest staples, the flattest covers and the sharpest top and bottom of the spine were up to muster,” he said.

The collection dates back to the mid 1960’s and ends in 1976 totaling almost 50 boxes of comic books.
