It looks like another new beginning for the Amazing Spider-Man. So many over the years, itís hard to keep up with how many times Peter has endured a ìlife changingî event in his life in the past few years. Every issueís solicit read something like this ìThis is it fans! NOTHING WILL BE THE SAME!î Okay so weíll all buy into it once again here with Amazing Spider-Man #648. Not so much for the reason that life altering events are taking place, but for the reason that new characters are being introduced. This reason is the only reason to buy this comic as far as collecting value goes.

And speaking of new characters, a new villain makes their way to Green Lantern Emerald Warriors #4. Thatís always a great read, and nothing like having new blood entering the fray. Also, check out that very nice Variant from Kevin Maguire...or is that Felipe Massafera? Either way, nice variant!

Six number one issues make the Comic Hot Picks list this week. 2 of which will probably be sleeper hits, G.I. Joe Future Noir special #1 and Image Comics Halcyon #1. Look for the Halcyon #1 issue to be sold out quickly. Another interesting book is Monster Hunters Survival Guide #1. Great Greg Horn cover for this one. Marvel has a couple of number one issues coming this week. Avengers Earths Mightiest Heroes #1 and the very cool looking Chaos War Thor #1.
The last number one issue comes in the form of one of the longest acronyms in comics. T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents #1. Want to know what that stands for? Google it. It comes right up! This group first appeared from the awesome work of Wally Wood back in 1967. T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents #1 from 1967 was their first appearance. Comics Price Guide list this book at only $300. This is a fantastic buy for a 1967 first appearance comic from Wally Wood.
