Doug Schmell of Pedigree Comics is reporting that their recent Grand Auction, which ran from August 29, 2010 and through September 9, 2010, has closed with strong numbers for a number of titles offered. In total, almost $700,000 was realized in the auction and, with the expected post-auction sales, the final figure should be almost $750,000.
Highlights from the auction include: Avengers #1, CGC Certified 9.2, sold for $35,500; Amazing Spider-Man #40, CGC Certified 9.8, brought $30,000; Green Lantern #76, CGC Certified 9.6, realized $25,000; Iron Man #1, CGC Certified 9.8, went for $12,250; Flash #123, CGC Certified 9.4, sold for $11,027; and Amazing Spider-Man #1, CGC Certified 7.5, brought $10,000.
