Pedigree Comics' Doug Schmell reports that his company has just received from CGC an amazing batch of over eighty 9.8, 9.6 and 9.4 Marvels and DC's, mostly from the Silver Age, which includes the 50 books Schmell recently purchased at the San Diego Comic Con, and every book will be added to the Grand Auction listing. The auction is scheduled to begin at 8:00 p.m EST this Sunday, August 29, 2010, and last for ten (10) days, with the first half of books ending the afternoon of Wednesday, September 8, 2010 and the final half of books closing on Thursday, September 9, 2010. The auction will feature over 700 hundred CGC certified comics and magazines, many being the highest CGC certified according to the census, and it is shaping up to be one of the best online auctions for high-end, investment grade comic books ever. Almost all of the books in the Grand Auction will be listed with no reserve and the minimum bid on every item is only $100.00. Plus, there is no Buyers Premium on any item in the auction.
Almost every book from the brand new CGC batch is a 9.8 or 9.6 and features a diverse selection of titles and issue numbers. The highlight of these just graded comics is the awesome group of NM/M Amazing Spider-Mans from the mid to late 1960s and early 1970s, over 10 CGC certified 9.8's that are the highest graded copies according to the census.
