The ComicLink August Featured Auction closes today thru Thursday. All auction lots close Tuesday, August 24h thru Thursday, August 26th between 8:00 PM EST and 12:00 AM EST. Spidey's lead the Silver Age pack, with an extremely strong selection of high-grade examples. Seldom seen Spideys in CGC 9.6's highlight the auction including #5 (1 of 7), #11 (1 of 4), #12 (1 of 5), #16 (1 of 7), #23 (1 of 5), #24 (1 of 5), as do the extremely popular and classic Romita Green Goblin issues #39 and #40 in 9.6. Amazing Spider-Man #1 CGC 8.5 (and other grades), #3 9.2 #5 9.2, #9 9.4, #14 9.4, numerous 9.8s such as #71, #75, #82, #94, #129, and, of course, numerous examples of Amazing Fantasy #15 also make a statement.
The Golden Age selection closing today begins with impressive, and scarce early Action Comics (starring Superman's earliest appearances), All-American Comics (starring Green Lantern's earliest appearances), Archie Comics, and a strong run of Batman comic books (from #1 on up), including items from the #1 Registry set (don't miss the #1 in unrestored CGC 3.0 or the Batman #18 in an impossible CGC 9.4). The #1 Registry set of Captain Marvel Adventures also closes this evening, as does an impressive selection of Timely Captain America Comics including a smokin' CGC 9.6 #52, the highest graded #70 (8.5), and the horrific but grossly popular #46 in 7.0. There is also a solid Avengers selection including multiple #1s and other key and high-grade issues, as well as Conan #1 CGC 9.8, Daredevil #1 CGC 9.2 and other exciting Silver/Bronze Age.
