Pedigree Comics’ Doug Schmell reports that more and more high grade consignments are coming in for his company’s upcoming Grand Auction. Now only one week away, the auction is scheduled to begin at 8:00 p.m EST the night of Sunday, August 29th and last for ten days, with the first half of books ending the afternoon of Wednesday, September 8th and the final half of books closing on Thursday, September 9th. The auction will feature well over five hundred CGC certified comics and magazines, many being the highest CGC certified according to the census, and it is shaping up to be one of the best online auctions for high-end, investment grade comic books. Almost all of the books in the Grand Auction will be listed with no reserve and the minimum bid on every item is only $100. Plus, there is no Buyers Premium on any item in the auction.

The newest group of high grade books features over 50 1960s and 1970s Marvels and DC’s from a myriad of titles and a few different consignors. There are many 9.8’s and 9.6’s to choose from, highlighted by a gorgeous and brand new Incredible Hulk #181 in CGC certified 9.8 and a recently graded Green Lantern #76 in 9.6. These two Bronze Age keys are amongst the most in-demand 1970s comic books right now and both copies are the absolute best ever offered for sale by Pedigree Comics. The Incredible Hulk #181 is a perfect looking Near Mint/Mint copy with snow white pages, the second best existing copy behind a lone CGC 9.9, while the Green Lantern #76 is the best known example, one of only 4 certified 9.6 and with perfect centering and bone white pages.

Plus, consignors can maximize their profits selling in the Grand Auction by utilizing Pedigree’s innovative Climbing Scale. The higher the value of your consigned books, the more money you take home.

Prospective consignors can also upload their own scans, item information, descriptions and reserve amounts for the upcoming Grand Auction by utilizing the Automated Consignment System. Just register onto the site, click "Customer Page" under "Your Account" and then click "Consignments" (under "Auctions"). You will then be able to enter the Pedigree Comics Consignment Management System and upload your own CGC certified books and magazines. Pedigree Comics will receive an email automatically once you have uploaded the information and they will then review the information imparted for accuracy. The item(s) will then be added to the August Grand Auction to be bid on.
