Doug Schmell of Pedigree Comics, Inc. reports that he has obtained a fabulous new group of ultra high-grade (CGC certified 9.4 and higher) Silver and Bronze Age Marvels at the San Diego Comic Con and all of the books will be featured in his company's upcoming Grand Auction. The auction is scheduled to begin at 8:00 pm EST the night of Sunday, August 29, 2010 and last for ten days, with the first half of books ending the afternoon of Wednesday, September 8, 2010 and the final half of books closing on Thursday, September 9, 2010. The auction will feature several hundred high grade CGC certified comics and magazines, many being the highest CGC Certified according to the census, and it is shaping up to be one of the best online auctions for high-end, investment grade comic books ever.

The 50 new books purchased at the convention, which includes a handful of DC's, are waiting to be CGC graded. They include a myriad of great issues from the most popular titles, such as Amazing Spider-Man; Avengers; Captain America; Daredevil; Fantastic Four; Incredible Hulk; Journey Into Mystery; Silver Surfer; Tales to Astonish and X-Men. 40 of the books are from the Silver Age with the remaining 10 from the '70s. Almost every book is in 9.6 or 9.8 condition. As soon as the books are received back from the CGC, they will be listed in the Auction Preview, where over 130 ultra high grade comics can now be viewed.
