Heritage Auction Galleries will be featuring the Andy Greenham Collection of DC war comics, featuring the top-ranked CGC registry sets of all five of the Big Five titles (G.I. Combat, Our Army At War, Our Fighting Forces, All-American Men of War and Star-Spangled War Stories) begining in their upcoming August Signature Auction and continuing in their Sunday Internet Auction through January 2011 without reserve.

"I've loved war comics for as long as I can remember," said Greenham in a recent interview, "but I became obsessed with them once Chris Pedrin's Big Five Information Guide came out in 1994. This was the missing piece of the puzzle for me. It reassured me that what I was collecting was exactly what I should be collecting. DC war comics and I had a connection and I had to build on that. I decided to collect them in as high grade as I could, with my main goal being to get a complete collection of all of the 'Big Five', 1235 books in total. The problem was, the earlier books were never available in high grade. Books in F/VF grade, or 7.0 as many refer to it now, were extremely difficult to find. I often wondered why Overstreet would bother putting a NM- price for books that probably don't exist in NM-."
