An unrestored copy of Detective Comics #27 featuring Batman’s first appearance is now available for purchase on MetropolisComics.com. Considered by most pannapictagraphists to be the second most sought after comic book, behind Action Comics #1, this copy was certified Very Good 4.0 by CGC. Metropolis sold a CGC certified Fine 6.0 copy in March of this year for $575,000.
With more restored copies on the CGC census than unrestored, this is, indeed, a rarity as they stopped making these beauties over 70 years ago.
