Pedigree Comics’ April Grand Auction Tops $1 Million in Sales!
Pedigree Comics’ recent April Grand Auction, which ended just two weeks ago on the night of Thursday, April 29th, was a huge success. According to Pedigree’s CEO and President, Doug Schmell, the total sales figure from the auction exceeded One Million Dollars ($1,017,588) and, with the post auction sales, the total figure was just under $1,100,000.
The strongest sales were from the Silver Age, as many early 1960’s Marvels and DC’s sold at record prices. There were many strong Bronze Age sales as well. Over 500 comics sold as most of the books in the auction were listed with no reserve.

Pedigree Comics consistently sets new sales records for Silver and Bronze Age comics on their web site and in each quarterly Grand Auction. The next Grand Auction is coming in just a few months, in July/August, 2010, and will be debuting a brand new original owner collection of high grade Silver and Bronze Age Marvels and DC’s on consignment with Pedigree called the Three Rivers Collection. In addition, an incredible group of early Silver Age Flash, including several of the highest graded copies, will be in the July/august Grand Auction.
Prospective consignors can also upload their own scans, item information, descriptions and reserve amounts for the upcoming Grand Auction by utilizing the Automated Consignment System. Just register onto the site, click "Customer Page" under "Your Account" and then click "Consignments" (under "Auctions"). You will then be able to enter the Pedigree Comics Consignment Management System and upload your own CGC certified books and magazines. Pedigree Comics will receive an email automatically once you have uploaded the information and they will then review the information imparted for accuracy. The item(s) will then be added to the July Grand Auction to be bid on.
