ComicConnect.com recently announced the sale of a beautiful copy of Detective Comics #27 CGC 6.0 for $575,000. This sets the new world record price for 1939’s very first appearance of Batman in Fine 6.0 condition, topping the previous publicly recorded sale price of $170,000 for a Fine 6.0 made in December 2007.
ComicConnect.com and Metropolis Collectibles’ CEO, Stephen Fishler, had this to say: “So many Detective 27's have been restored over the last 30 years, leaving a very small pool of nicer unrestored copies.
