Like so many Americans who are facing the unemployment line, Marvel Comics' own Peter Parker has recently joined the ranks of the jobless. After being laid off in the pages of Amazing Spider-Man #624, Parker's woes have reached the ears of CNN, Jimmy Kimmel and, even MTV. Throughout his more-than 40 year history, Peter Parker has been always been the underdog in the pages Spider-Man comics, alway facing similar problems that his readers had to face. Now, in the face of a shaky economy, he must stuggle to find work and meet his most basic financial needs.
