Diamond Comic Distributors announced this week that IDW Publishing has just been elevated to Premiere Vendor status, joining the ranks of Dark Horse Comics, DC Comics, Image Comics, Marvel Comics, and Wizard Entertainment. This milestone marks the first time any vendor has been elevated to this status since the classification was implemented in 1996.
"This change recognizes the growth and importance of IDW Publishing,” said Diamond President and CEO, Steve Geppi in a recent press release, “and we look forward to working with them for many years to come."
This new agreement between Diamond and IDW will feature some new initiatives geared toward helping the vendor to continue to grow, including listings in the Premiere Vendor section of the Preview catalog and online at PreviewsWorld.com, an addition of a Final Order Cut-off for all books and an exclusive distribution of all comics and graphic novels to comic specialty stores and the bookstore market.
