According to a Mania.com interview with Stephen Norrington, the director is still on board to helm the reboot of James O'Barr's noir classic, The Crow. Norrington, who also directed Blade for New Line Cinema, informed the we-based publication that the film could be ready for shooting as soon as this summer.

"The producer and visual effects people are crunching numbers. We've opened discussions with major cast but nothing is final yet," said Norrington. "Cast and budget and schedules will no doubt continue to adjust all equations."

The original film adaptation of The Crow, starred Brandon Lee in his final role, was released in 1994 and spawned three movie sequels (City of Angels, Salvation and Wicked Prayer), as well as a short-lived telelvision series called The Crow: Stairway to Heaven.
