According to Heritage Auction Galleries, a copy of Detective Comics #27 CGC Certified 8.0 has already reached a bid of $358,500 (Including buyer's premium) as of Saturday, February 6, 2010, and is expected to break all previous records to highest procce paid for a comic item at Heritage. This book reached a price of $310,700 even before the auction catalog had been preinted and less than 24 hours after internet bidding had began.
