ComicsPriceGuide.com has just been informed by Pedigree Comics' CEO Doug Schmell that his company's Grand Auction, which just ended late Wednesday night, November 11th, was a huge success. 262 lots sold for a whopping $753,880.00 with many of the individual books selling at record prices. Most of the books in the auction were ultra high grade (CGC certified 9.4 and higher) Marvels and DC's from the Silver and Bronze Ages but there was also a nice selection of Golden Age, Gold Keys & Dells, promotional comics and magazines. Also furthering the desire for these books is the fact that many of them are from one nationally and CGC recognized pedigree collection or another. According to Mr. Schmell, with the expected post auction sales, the total sales figure will be well over $800,000, making this Grand Auction the second largest in sales behind the August event that brought in over $1.1 Million.
