Wonder Woman Day will be held this weekend in Portland, Oregon and Flemington, New Jersey. Portland Mayor Sam Adams has officially declared "Wonder Woman Day" in Portland. The event will benefit Domestic Violence shelters and Crisis Line. Excalibur Comics in Portland will host Wonder Woman Day on Sunday, October 25, 2009 from noon to 6pm. The event is free and open to all ages and will include both local and national artists signing comics, as well as a silent auction of original art contributed by top artists. There will be raffles and prizes, rare memorabilia, and more.

A second Wonder Woman Day event will take place also on Sunday, October 25, 2009 in Flemington, NJ, at Comic Fusion, as part of “Super-Hero Weekend.” This event will benefit Safe in Hunterdon, a domestic violence shelter in New Jersey. The event will be held from noon to 5pm.

Wonder Woman Day is not endorsed or sponsored by DC Comics, Warner Bros., or any parent or affiliate company. The community-based event, from which 100% of proceeds go to registered 501(c)3 charities is meant as a celebration of the character and the heroic values shown throughout her history, and of upholding those same values within the greater community.
