ComicsPriceGuide.com has been informed that some great new consignments have just been added for Pedigree Comics' November Grand Auction, the highlight being an original owner copy of Daredevil #1 in CGC certified 9.4 with off-white to white pages. According to Pedigree owner Doug Schmell: "This amazing, unread copy was purchased by the consignor (who is the original owner) when he was 13 years old. He bought it from the local grocery store in his hometown of Lawrence Kansas while on his newspaper route! The comic was never read, just meticulously cared for and stored in a box over the past 45 years and then just recently submitted to the CGC for grading. The book is characterized by unreal cover gloss, newsstand fresh page quality (oww), sharp edges and corners, a gorgeous spine and an obvious unread look. Growing in popularity, the issue features the origin and first appearance of Daredevil by Stan Lee with a Jack Kirby & Bill Everett cover".

Mr. Schmell further states that his company has sold 2 9.4 copies in their Grand Auctions, one in October, 2008 for a then-record price of $19,166 and most recently for a record of $20,750 in the Grand Auction that just closed on August 24th. In fact, as a result of the just completed sale for the Daredevil 1 9.4 in the auction (similarly with off-white to white pages), the consignor of this example contacted Mr. Schmell in order to sell his prized copy.

The book joins an already impressive list of Silver Age Marvel keys that will appear in the upcoming auction (November 1, 2009) on the Pedigree Comics Web site (www.PedigreeComics.com), including Tales of Suspense 39 9.4, Amazing Spider-Man 1 9.0, Fantastic Four 1 8.5, Iron Man 1 9.8 (CGC Signature SERIES), Avengers 1 8.0, Avengers 4 9.2, Journey Into Mystery 83 7.5 plus a few others.

Plenty of ultra high grade Bronze Age Marvel keys will also be present, including Amazing Spider-Man 129 9.8, Giant-Size X-Men 1 9.8, Incredible Hulk 181 9.8 and more. Check out the Latest News section on the site every day plus this space each week for all the upcoming Grand Auction announcements.

Pedigree Comics is currently accepting consignments for the Grand Auction which will run for ten (10) days between Sunday evening, November 1st and Wednesday evening, November 11th. They will continue to accept consignments up until the auction commencement and even till the middle of the following week (until Thursday, November 15th). Please contact Pedigree's CEO and President Doug Schmell at (561) 422-1120 or (561) 596-9111 or email him at DougSchmell@pedigreecomics.com for any questions, comments or information about the consigning process. Remember, the higher the value of your book(s) that sell in the auction the more $$ you take home under Pedigree's Climbing Scale. Pedigree consistently sets new sales records for Silver and Bronze Age Marvels in each Grand Auction. Why settle for less by consigning with someone else?

Prospective consignors can also upload their own scans, item information, descriptions and reserve amounts for the Grand Auction by utilizing the Automated Consignment System. It is actually very easy and fun to do. Just register onto the site, click "Customer Page" under "Your Account" and then click "Consignments" (under "Auctions"). You will then be able to enter the Pedigree Comics Consignment Management System and upload your own CGC certified books and magazines. Pedigree Comics will receive an email automatically once you have uploaded the information and they will then review the information imparted for accuracy. The item(s) will then be added to the November Grand Auction to be bid on.
