Beautiful Uncle Scrooge #1 CGC 9.4 Near Mint Lands on ComicConnect




ComicConnect.com is pleased to announce that a Near Mint copy of 1952’s Uncle Scrooge #1 (Four Color #386) will be included among the lots in the September ComicConnect Event Auction.  The iconic cover, drawn by the famous Carl Barks, features the series star Scrooge McDuck in his signature money pit, accompanied by his nephew, Donald Duck, and onlookers Huey, Duey & Louie. 

Considered a grail among Disney collectors, this was the first comic book cover to feature Scrooge, and kicked off a long running series that stretched 32 years.  Ultra rare in high grade, ComicConnect is pleased to present this issue for auction at a $1 starting bid with no reserve!  The book features white pages, and only two other copies are known to exist in equivalent grade, with none graded higher on the CGC census.  The last time a copy of Uncle Scrooge #1 sold in Near Mint condition was August of 2007, fetching a price of $28,680.
