About Asia Lee

Female Emcee/ Designer/ Songwriter, Asia Lee is a native of California. While growing up in Los Angeles moving around Hawthorne and South Central, Asia Lee loved listening to female rap artist like Queen Latifah, Yo-Yo and Foxy brown. At a young age she started to imitate their style to create voicemail raps for her and her schoolyard friend’s pagers and cell phones. Her voicemail hobby caught the ear of a music manager that suggested she take those thirty second messages and turn them into full out songs. That was the turning point in her life, her first industry push. Her lyrics got stronger, she created her on swagger and she was ready to make a name for herself like the female rap artist she admired so much.

Asia fell in love with the studio she loved writing lyrics. Asia started to reach her peers with her witty lyrical messages. Her sexy eyes and coke bottle frame would make you think she is just another pretty face but once you hear her delivery in her word play, you realize she is an emcee that deserves respect in a male dominated industry. Her skills helped put her on stage, performing and working with artist like Colby Odonis, Ray J, Teedra Moses, Roscoe Umali, Rodney Jerkins just to name a few. Asia has placed the line in fashion shows, movies and in television, “West Coast Royalty” sunglasses were recently featured in the Missy Elliot music opening of the popular MTV television show “Americas Next Best Dance Crew”.

Asia is focused and referrers to herself as Q.O.C. (Queen Of Cali). When she says “Queen” it refers to how she carries herself and she wants to bring that over to hip hop… “If you meet me you’re gonna give me some respect, If you were to meet a King or Queen you would give them respect whether you from the hood or not. I respect myself so I demand and expect it. I wanna put that out there for other woman as well because no one else is putting it out there right now and where getting treated otherwise”.
