The ComicConnect Event Auction set some new world records last weekend on publicly recorded sales.  Highlights include Action Comics  #1 CGC 1.8 hammering at $94,001, Journey Into Mystery #83 CGC 9.0 selling for $27,800, Avengers #1 CGC 7.5 for $8,100 and Captain America Comics #74 CGC 7.0 for $6,100. 

Here are some other interesting tidbits from the ComicConnect Event Auction.  The CGC graded 3/5 of the front cover to Action Comics #1 sold for a remarkable $6,800.  CGC Gem Mint 10.0 Aurora Comic Scenes issues of Superman, Robin & Captain America sold for $205 each.  The genres of DC Horror and Romance had a strong showing in the auction with competitive bidding on tough issues.  Also of note was an Amazing Spiderman #20 PGX 7.5 with white pages that outsold a rival copy in the auction from the same consignor of an Amazing Spiderman #20 CGC 7.5 off-white pages ($296 vs $200).
