It’s time to get your bids in. 2,000 vintage, pre-1975 CGC Graded comic books lots start closing this Tuesday. This page represents a small sample of the many highlights within this exciting ComicLink April Focused Auction, which is ComicLink's largest Focused Auction ever. The auction contains nearly 4,000 CGC Graded comics books, most without any reserve price and starting bid of only $1. The most exciting item in the entire auction is the Amazing Spider-Man #1 CGC 9.6 White Mountain pedigree, and it is one of the most valuable Silver Age comic books in existence. Some of the other most valuable items within this auction are Amazing Fantasy #15 CGC 8.0, Amazing Spider-Man #1 CGC 9.2, Amazing Fantasy #15 CGC 7.0, and Fantastic Four #1 CGC 7.0. But that barely even touches the number of key issues within this auction -- in fact, that barely even touches the surface. Not only are the keys above in this auction in multiple grades, but there are other major ones such as Avengers #1 CGC 7.5, Daredevil #1 CGC 9.2, Hulk #1 CGC 6.5, and X-men #1 CGC 7.5, to name just a few. This auction also has high CGC graded comic books galore! From Amazing Spider-Man #14 CGC 9.4 to Amazing Spider-Man #300 CGC 9.8, Justice League #5 CGC 9.4 to Batman #251 CGC 9.8, and Silver Surfer #2 CGC 9.8 to the #1 Miracleman registry set (all 9.8's), if you are looking for high-grade, this is the place to get it! Within this auction, we are also debuting impressive examples from the Heartland collection, which is a 4,000 book Original Owner collection from the 1960’s to the 1980’s exclusively consigned to ComicLink. This collection is noteworthy for its quality (virtually all VF to NM+) and it's exceptional page preservation (off-white to white pages). Within this auction, we focus on Heartland examples from the Doctor Strange, Nick Fury, Strange Tales and X-men runs. There are also over 300 high-grade examples from other pedigrees and special collections in this auction, over 900 CGC 9.8s, over 800 CGC 9.6s, and over 700 CGC 9.4s, which means that over half of the auction is in ultra high-grade!
Bidders take note -- the structure of the auction end dates/times differs in this auction from auctions in the past. Since there are so many items in the auction, and we have included more copper and modern age books than usual in this auction, we have separated out the end times over two weeks, by time period and alphanumerically. The nearly 2,000 comic books published before 1975 in this auction will close Tuesday, April 21 thru Friday, April 24. Then, over 1,700 items published from 1975 to the present (mid-Bronze Age to the present) will close Tuesday, April 28 thru Thursday, April 30.
Of note, before you scroll down to view a sample of highlights within this auction, we want to mention that ComicLink is still taking consignments for the
ComicLink May Featured Auction starting May 7th (which will contain Golden, Silver, & Bronze Age comic books, some key Copper Age, and Original Comic Art). If you are interested in participating as a seller, simply e-mail your prospective auction list to
