Pedigree Comics' CEO and President Doug Schmell reports that his internet-based company has recently received on consignment three incredible new books. The first is a beautiful, unrestored copy of
Flash Comics
#1 in CGC certified 5.0 condition with off-white pages. The second is a CGC certified Universal Grade 3.0 copy of
Superman
#1, also with off-white pages. The third book is a very high grade 9.2 example of
Tales of Suspense
#39, which features the origin and introduction of Iron Man.
The
Flash Comics
#1 is one of the nicest copies in existence, trailing only the ridiculous 9.6 Edgar Church/Mile High copy, a lone 8.5 and three certified at 6.5. It is in excellent condition and would grade at around 8.0 if not for a small tear/crease at the right edge of the front cover. One of the most valuable comics in the world, it features the origin and introduction of the Flash and Hawkman. Mr. Schmell indicates that the back cover is basically flawless and will provide a scan of it upon request.
The
Superman
#1 is the absolute nicest copy ever offered for sale by Pedigree Comics. It looks more like a 5.0 or a 5.5 and was obviously downgraded due to the very small amounts of color touch and glue on the cover (so minor that the book is in the blue Universal Grade labeled holder). It is the nicest unrestored 3.0 (Good/Very Good) in existence and has great eye appeal and fresh pages. According to Mr. Schmell, the back cover is really sharp and has the appearance of a Fine or Fine+ copy. Overall, it is strictly graded and an obvious investment item for years to come.
The
Tales of Suspense
#39 is the 8th nicest known copy, trailing two pedigreed 9.6's (Pacific Coast and White Mountain) and five 9.4's. It is in gorgeous shape and looks closer to NM than NM-. It has a near-perfect front cover and fresh off-white pages. It is still one of the most in demand comic books right now, especially when considering the very recent announcement of the second Iron Man motion picture scheduled for a May, 2010 release. The cast will be nothing short of all-star (Robert Downey, Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Scarlet Johansson, Mickey Rourke and Samuel L. Jackson). With all the hype that is sure to engulf this sequel to the incredibly popular and successful first Iron Man movie, look for
Tales of Suspense
#39 to soar in value for months to come.
All three comic books are available to bid on and purchase in the New Arrivals section at
www.PedigreeComics.com
. The bidding has already been heavy for all three books and should continue to be over the weekend.
If you have any comics to sell or consign, please contact Mr. Schmell as soon as possible.
You can call him at 561-422-1120 or 561-596-9111 for any information you may need or with any questions, comments or concerns. You can also email him at

. Pedigree Comics, Inc. consistently gets record prices for high grade and ultra high grade comics and magazines, with a special emphasis on ultra high grade Silver and Bronze Age Marvels, and will maximize your profit on your treasured books.
Prospective consignors can also upload their own scans, item information, descriptions and Buy It Now prices by utilizing the Automated Consignment System. It is actually very easy and fun to do. Just register onto the site, click "Customer Page" under "Your Account" and then click "Consignments". You will then be able to enter the Pedigree Comics Consignment Management System and upload your own CGC certified books and magazines. Pedigree Comics will receive an email automatically once you have uploaded the information and they will then review the information imparted for accuracy. The item will then be added to the New Arrivals section of the site.
