In a recent private transaction collector Rick Whitelock sold a run of Detective Comics #28-#38. Each of the 10 comics sold were certified by CGC with two comics in the transaction from the Davis Crippen pedigree. “Over the years, I have owned multiple copies of Detective Comics #27-38, and once I sold my copy of Detective Comics #27 last year, I decided to part with the entire run, hoping to find one buyer for the lot. Out of all the issues I had, I felt the ones I kept for me, were the best I had run across at the time,” said Rick Whitelock.

Highlights from the sale were:

Detective Comics #28 CGC 8.0 Apparent VF Extensive (P)
Detective Comics #29 CGC 3.5
Detective Comics #30 CGC 4.0 Crippen
Detective Comics #31 CGC 5.0
