Desert Wind Comics is honored and privileged to announce a special signing with “Gentleman” Gene Colan in New York. You can get your books signed by the legendary comic book artist and graded and authenticated by Certified Guaranty Company (CGC) with the prestigious Signature Series label.
Desert Wind Comics had the privilege of a previous signing with Gene Colan last year and looks forward to once again offering comic fans another opportunity to get their prized possessions signed by the master that drew iconic comic characters such as Iron Man, Daredevil, Doctor Strange, Captain America, Dracula and many, many more. Gene battled back from liver failure to regain his health, yet he never lost his touch with a pencil. Gene’s artistic career official started in 1944 drawing Wings Comics for Fiction House before going on to draw for both Marvel and DC. Gene enjoyed and is well known for is his long runs on the Marvel title Tomb of Dracula with writer Marv Wolfman. Gene is probably best recognized by his fellow writers and artists for his ability to draw art in pencils that could be colored without inking.
Desert Wind Comics will be accepting last minute submissions at the New York Comic Con (additional fees apply). Please contact them in advance or inquire at the CGC Booth at the New York Comic Con for details. With Gene still fighting back from his liver failure, he does not travel much, nor make many con appearances, so don’t miss this opportunity. They have an unlimited number of spots open for this exclusive signing, so submit as many items as you wish. The deadline for submitting the books to our office is Monday, January 26th, 2009.
