Starting on Friday, December 12, 2008 Pedigree Comics, Inc. will be listing a new consignment of Bronze Age Superman and Superman related titles (Action Comics; Adventure Comics; Superboy; Superman's Pal Jimmy Olsen; Superman's Girlfriend Lois Lane; Superman Family; and DC Super-Stars). There are 50 books in this listing which will continue over the weekend until Sunday afternoon. The books will appear in the New Arrivals section of PedigreeComics.com.
Most of the comics are in CGC certified 9.4 condition with a bunch of 9.6's and a couple of 9.8's. Not one book grades less than the coveted Near Mint grade. All told, 31 out of the 50 are certified 9.4 with 17 certified 9.6 and two certified 9.8. The majority of the consignment is Superman beginning with issue #237. The Action Comics issues begin with #374 and the Jimmy Olsen's with #149. Almost all of the books from the collection are from the early to mid 1970s and look unread with exceptional cover colors and no handling defects. There is something for every high grade 1970's Superman collector in this consignment so make sure you check out the site this coming weekend starting Friday afternoon.
