To tie into this past weekend’s release of Punisher: War Zone, Lionsgate Films launched an interactive online comic last week that provided back-story for Marvel’s vigilante anti-hero. Utilizing video and text, the multi-chapter comic ends with a special teaser of the film.
The film, which marks the third attempt to bring The Punisher to the big screen, stars Ray Stevenson, Dominic West, Doug Hutchinson, Colin Salmon, Wayne Knight, Dash Mihok and Julie Benz, and is directed by Lexi Alexander. Although released after both Iron Man and the Incredible Hulk, this film was not produced by Marvel Studios, but through Lionsgate.
