Tales of Suspense #39, the Marvel comic book that introduced Iron Man in 1963, sold for $45,000 recently in the grade of CGC 9.2 on ComicLink.com. The price is, by far, the highest price ever paid for this issue in the condition offered. The sold item is 1 of only 12  in the grade at 9.2.   A string of 9.0's also sold on ComicLink earlier in the year, with the first breakout sale achieved in ComicLink's February auction, at $23,250 (since then, this issue in 9.0 has achieved as much as $25,000 on ComicLink). An 8.5 also sold for a record price recently on ComicLink, reaching the $15,000 mark for the first time. This issue in multiple conditions, as well as in the 9.0 grade, is currently being offered in the ComicLink Featured Auction
