Now listed for sale on the ComicLink Comic Art Exchange™ is a rare Carl Barks Money Bin oil painting entitled, Rich Finds at Inventory Time. Carl Barks is the creator of Uncle Scrooge and the celebrated artist and storyteller of many favorite Donald Duck and Uncle Scrooge tales from the early 1940s until the late 1960s. Considered one of Disney's finest animators, his paintings have been the subject of dozens of books, reprints, studies and biographies. Carl Barks did only 19 original "money bin" paintings, special because they showcase Uncle Scrooge amidst untold numbers of gold coins, alongside Donald Duck, and Huey, Duey and Louie. These are the most sought after of Barks' original oil paintings and the best of them are rarely offered for sale. The offered Rich Finds at Inventory Time is Barks' 19th and final money bin painting and perhaps the most detailed of them all. The immense effort Carl Barks put into this painting is evident in the layout of the work as well as in his attention to detail.  Barks' final salute to his favorite character, Uncle Scrooge is shown front and center, gleefully tossing coins in the air as all eyes are affixed on him. Donald Duck, Huey, Duey and Louie are looking at Scrooge, as if to celebrate their beloved Uncle while their Uncle celebrates his wealth. The coins are piled high and deep in the bank vault, with the bulldozer and Barks' trademark money bin arch at the top, rarely seen in it's entirety with the "$" symbol on top. Nearly all of the money bin paintings are closely held within private collections and the most exceptional of them are rarely offered for sale.
