Fantastic Four and X-men examples from the "Rocky Mountain" Pedigree Collection: One of the many Silver & Bronze Age highlights of this ComicLink Featured Auction are 159 high-grade Fantastic Four and X-men comic books from an incredible, original owner collection that we are now calling the Rocky Mountain Pedigree collection. There are over 5,000 books in this collection, and it is by far the most impressive Silver and Bronze Age collection ever consigned to ComicLink by an original owner since the business was founded in 1996. Many of you are already familiar with the quality of comic books within this collection, because this May and June we auctioned off many of the original owner Amazing Spider-Man issues. Across the board, whether they grade out 9.0, 9.4 or 9.8, these issues are newsstand fresh and glossy, with rich colors and either white or off-white to white page preservation. You cannot truly measure the look of them by the grades they were given. They were an incredible sight to behold prior to CGC slabbing and we are, quite frankly, as blown away now as we were when we first laid eyes on them.

Original Art Highlights including impressive works by Steve Ditko (early Spider-Man art from issues #12 and #34, a Charlton splash page and cover, and a rare and intricate self portrait), Jack Kirby (including Fantastic Four pages from #9, #11, #55, a self portrait of Jack himself as the Thing, and an unpublished Captain 3-D 1950's cover), John Buscema (the Fantastic Four #112 classic Hulk vs. Thing battle splash page and the FF #111 Hulk vs. Thing battle prelude page), Dave Cockrum (X-men #101 double Page splash ("Like a Phoenix from the Ashes") and an X-men #102 page featuring a Wolverine/Colossus "reverse fastball special!"), Don Perlin (Werewolf by Night #33 Moon Knight 1st appearance & battle page), Alex Ross (Kingdom Come and JSA), and Bill Sienkiewicz (Moon Knight wraparound cover).  Golden Age rarities featured include works by Will Eisner (Spirit), Lou Fine (Black Condor, Reed Crandall (Ray), Frank Frazetta, and complete EC stories from Crime Suspenstories and Vault of Horror, and much more.

An impressive assortment of high-grade vintage comic books from Pedigrees and special collections including 200 examples from the most renowned pedigree collection of them all -- the Mile High Pedigree collection.  Also represented are 50 Gaines File copies (many of which are fresh, never-before-auctioned examples), a selection of 3-D comics from the Personal Collection of William Gaines, Golden Age comics from the Dave Cockrum Estate, as well as many more Golden Age pedigree examples.  In addition to the Rocky Mountains, there are many other Silver and Bronze Age examples from pedigrees and special collections, including the Fire Lake collection, the Edenwald collection and others.
