If you're attending this weekend's Baltimore Comic-Con, September 27-28, 2008 join Classics Incorporated for their third and final restoration seminar for 2008. This seminar will cover the various kinds of comic book restoration, offer tips on how to pick good restoration candidates, and discuss how their values relate to CGC grading based on extent and appearance. The seminar will take place Saturday, Sept 27, 2008 from 3:30pm to 4:30pm in room 301-303.

Unfortunately, co-host Richard Evans will not be able to attend due to very unfortunate circumstances arising from hurricane Ike. Richard lost his Westheimer store in the melee that weekend, and must stay behind to tend to it. He started building his empire with that store almost 20 years ago, which has led to the strongest presence Houston has seen in a comic dealer since the Camelot days of the 1970s. It'll no doubt come back better than ever, but it will be a hard struggle for him and his crew. Our sympathy goes out to him.

Steve Borock will be filling in for Richard. Steve headed CGC for its first nine years, which no doubt makes him an authority on CGC's grading standards for restored comic books. The seminar should be entertaining as well as informative, so make sure you attend if you're in Baltimore this weekend.
