A major run of mostly CGC certified 9.6 and 9.8 copies of Sub-Mariner comprising of over 40 issues between #1 and #72 will be listed this weekend. The books will be featured in the New Arrivals section of the Pedigree Comics website. "These books are just killer with almost everyone of them being the highest certified copies on the CGC Census," said Doug Schmell CEO of Pedigree Comics. The offering includes 16 comics that are graded 9.8 including the first two issues of Sub-Mariner. There are 22 books that are certified 9.6 and five comics graded 9.4 in the run of 43 books offered. The books also include several pedigree copies mostly from the Oakland and Don Rosa collections. The books also exhibit superior page quality as 30 books from the offering have snow white pages. According to Mr. Schmell the copy of Sub-Mariner #1 offered is one of the finest he has ever seen as it has snow white pages and no Marvel Chipping or tears.
This is the second incredible run of popular late 1960s to early 1970s title to be featured on Pedigree Comics within the past three months. According to Mr. Schmell this group constitutes the best run of Sub-Mariner comics ever to be offered publicly for sale. If this Sub-Mariner run were added to the CGC Registry, it would likely become the #1 ranked set given the number of 9.8 certified comics.
The first portion of the run featuring Sub-Mariner #1-15 will be available today with the remaining books from the run being launched on the website on Saturday and Sunday. All 43 comics will be available to buy and bid on as none will be sold prior to the listings on the site. To view the books being offered visit http://www.pedigreecomics.com/.
