Now less than 2 weeks away, Pedigree Comics, Inc.'s new time-based Grand Auction is shaping up to be one of the best auctions you will ever see. CEO and President Doug Schmell indicated that a fabulous group of ultra high grade CGC 9.4 and higher consignments have come in for the auction, many of them early Silver Age Marvels. Schmell also informed us that he purchased an incredible group of early 1960s DC's at the recent Wizard World Chicago convention, most of which are the single highest CGC certified copy to date. This group of over 20 books includes 9.4 and 9.6 Action Comics, Batman, and Detective Comics, all from 1960, 1961, and early 1962. All of the books come from an impressive collection of almost 1,500 comics are out of the Cleveland, Ohio area and debuted at the New York Comic Con in late April 2008. Incredibly, every copy that Schmell purchased is perfectly centered with flawless spines and exceptional page quality, an indication that these books were probably never read.
