Tom Gordon III Joins ComicsPriceGuide.com
Indianapolis, Indiana: Tom Gordon III, recognized by the top buyers, sellers and collectors in the hobby as a comic historian and collectibles hobby expert with over twenty years experience and a life-time of knowledge in the antiques and collectibles industry. Tom also brings with him five years of experience as the former Managing Editor of Geppi's Entertainment Publishing & Auctions -Gemstone Publishing division. Tom now joins Indianapolis-based ComicsPriceGuide.com as President of our company.
Mr. Gordon has been featured in a variety of interviews on the subject of comics, including Kiplinger's Personal Finance magazine, he was an industry expert on VOOM HD network's television program Treasure Seekers, which spotlighted San Diego Comic Con International. He has also been a panelist at comic conventions. Mr. Gordon is a contributor/writer to The Political Bandwagon, an industry publication relating to political Americana. His freelance writing was featured recently in the spring 2008 issue of Heritage Magazine when he authored an article on historical memorabilia relating to Abraham Lincoln and the history surrounding the Lincoln assassination.
He has spent time tracking many of the changes in the hobby and observing the collectibles marketplace. He is known for having a sharp eye for detail regarding comic grading. Prior to his position as Managing Editor at Gemstone Publishing Tom was the owner of Monumental Collectibles, a collectibles business which specialized in vintage comic book and character memorabilia. He has bought and sold rare comics from a variety of pedigree comic collections including the Edgar Church/Mile High, Pennsylvania, Okajima, Western Penn, and Gaines File copies.
