Just out from Diamond Daily..

Adding to the excitement for some of its hottest upcoming titles, Marvel Comics has announced special variant editions with Secret Invasion-style covers featuring Skrully versions of some of the publisher’s brightest stars!

The new Skrully variants are similar to the ones seen on Captain Marvel #4, Young X-Men #1 and others. Retailers will be permitted to order one copy of each variant for every 10 copies of the regular edition ordered.

Details on the specific issues are as follows:

Avengers: The Initiative #13 Skrully Variant : Christos Gage and Steve Uy continue one of Marvel’s hottest new series with this new issue that finds a contract out on Taskmaster and no shortage of assassins willing to fulfill it. But who will kill him first – the bad guys or his newest class of recruits?

Iron Man: Viva Las Vegas #1 Skrully Variant  : In this debut issue, writer Jon Favreau and artist Adi Granov begin a tale in which Tony Stark’s “me time” is cut short after he happens upon a beautiful archeologist, the dragon statue she’s uncovered and a swarm of lizards now running loose. Can he make sure that whatever happens next in Vegas stays in Vegas?

Punisher War Journal #19 Skrully Variant  : Jigsaw hatches the ultimate revenge saga when he kills off all of the loose ends from Frank Castle's life, replaces him on the streets and then takes out everyone and everything that he holds dear – framing him for it in the process. And this is just the beginning! Written by Matt Fraction and Rick Remender, with art by Howard Chaykin.

X-Men: Legacy #211 Skrully Variant :  Mike Carey and Scot Eaton present readers with Part 1 of “Sins of the Father.” Professor X is struggling to rebuild his memories using other people’s minds, but the past is coming back to haunt him in another way when a series of deaths are linked to Brian Xavier, the Professor's long-dead father. To solve this mystery, the Professor will have to visit the Hellfire Club.

Wolverine: Origins #25 Skrully Variant : This milestone issue offers the final chapter of “The Deep End” by Daniel Way and Steve Dillon. Inside, Wolverine is in Deadpool’s clutches and just as he’s about to take him out once and for all, the other trap springs, leading to a twisted conclusion readers have to see to believe.
