This week, Marvel Comics released preview images of their upcoming "Vampire Variant" covers that will be hitting stores this October. The covers will feature some of Marvel's most proments characters re-imagined as Vampires by some of the industries top artists. The first wave of covers include: Avengers Academy #5 by J.S. Rossbach; Hulk #26 by Salva Espin; Invincible Iron Man #31 by Salvador Larroca; and New Avengers #5 by Stephanie Perger.

This week, Marvel Comics released the preview image to Editor-in-Chief and Chief Creative Officer Joe Quesada's variant cover for July's Amazing Spider-Man #638. The solicitation copy reads:

"What really happened at the wedding of Spider-Man and Mary Jane? Will the answers come with a cost – and should readers be worried for the ones Peter Parker holds dear?"

Marvel Comics announced this week that they will be sending three of their sold out books back to press for new printings. The three titles include Hulk #22, Ultimate Comics New Ultimates #2 and Ultimate Comics X #2. Both Hulk and New Ultimates will be getting a second printing, while Ultimate X will be getting a third printing. Hulk #22 will feature a variant cover by series artist Ed McGuinness; Ultimate X #2 will feature a sketch cover by series artist Arthur Adams; and New Ultimates #2 will feature a new cover by Frank Cho.

In honor of the release of Marvel Comics' X-Men #1 on July 8, 2010, the publisher has declared that day to be the inaugural "X-Men Day." With this issue being the first X-Men #1 to hot stands in nearly 20 years, Marvel's Merry Mutants enter the "Heroic Age" in style thanks to series writer Victor Gischler and series artist Paco Medina. To help celebrate the event, Marvel will be releasing "X-Men Day" commemorative items, including exclusive limited-edition cover prints featuring Paco Medina&'s "We Are The X-Men" images, exclusive variants, and mini-poster, as well as an exclusive Black Cover to this issue.

In addition, participating retailers will receive a special advance screening edition of X-Men #1 Premiere Variant, which features a personalized letter from Vice President, Executive Editor Axel Alonso. This week, Marvel Comics released the cover images to the latest two books to get the "iron Man By Design" treatment. The books will be Avengers #2, by Brian Michael Bendis and John Romita, Jr. and Invincible Iron Man Annual #1, by Matt Fraction and Carmine De Giandomenico. Alan Aldridge, who is best know for his design and production of artwork of album covers for The Who, The Rolling Stones, and Elton John, will handle the cover art for the Avengers; while Genndy Tartakovsky, the multiple Emmy award-winning creator of Dexter's Laboratory and Samurai Jack, will bring his unique art style to the cover of Invincible Iron Man.

This week, Marvel Comics released the variant cover image for the upcoming Amazing Spider-Man Presents: Black Cat #1. The variant cover features the artwork of J. Scott Campbell, while the regular cover will feature the art of Amanda Conner. Amazing Spider-Man Presents: Black Cat #1 will be written by Jen Van Meter and features art by Javier Pulido and hits store shelves on June 16, 2010.

After selling out completely at Diamond Comic Distributors, Marvel Comics announced this week that both Uncanny X-Men #524 and X-Men: Hellbound #1 will be returning to press for second printings. Both second printing covers will feature interior art from Terry Dodson and Harvey Tolibao, respectively, and join sic previous "Second Coming" tie-in books to go back to press (including X-Men: Second Coming - Chapter One, Uncanny X-Men #523, New Mutants #12, X-Men: Legacy #235, X-Factor #204, and X-Force #26).

Marvel Comics announced this week that two of their books have sold out at the distributor and are going back to press. Both Invincible Iron Man #11 and Wolverine #70 are headed back to press for a Second and Third Printing Variants, respectively.

Invincible Iron Man will feature a variant cover featuring the interior art of series artist Salvador Larroca, while the third printing of Wolverine will feature a black and white, inked cover of Steve McNiven's pencils.

"Fraction's Tony Stark has been one of the most well-defined portrayals of the character ever. Larroca and D'Armata really are at their best with the mechanical aspects of this series," said Timothy Callahan, of ComicBookResources.com, of Invincible Iron Man.

"This issue is a must read. The story and the art will keep you moving through this comic in anticipation of what's to come. Go to your local comic shop and buy this issue. You won't regret it," said Alex Rodriguez of ComicsBulletin.Com, about Wolverine #70.
