An AFA-graded 70 or excellent+ condition example of the 1979 Kenner Star Wars Villain Set 3-Pack brought $3,050 on eBay.

The rare Villian 3-Pack included action figures of Boba Fett, a Sand Person, and red Snaggletooth.

A truly rare Wonder Woman collectible from 1942 was recently sold on eBay.

The promotional letter dated July 20, 1942 which originally accompanied a complimentary copy of Wonder Woman #1 sent to an Army Nurse by Associate Editor of Wonder Woman, Alice Marble. In excellent condition the letter brought $551 after obtaining 14 bids. The letter measured 5.5” x 8.5” and featured a light vertical and horizontal fold lines in the middle. This promotional letter was no doubt only sent to a limited number of women and currently this example is the only known copy.

A rare bronze Batman statue by noted artist Randy Bowen made in 1994 sold for $3,383 after receiving 18 bids on eBay. The impressive bronze statue was on a marble base and numbered A/P #3 and signed by Bowen. The statue was an artist proof example and was in near mint condition overall.

An AFA-graded 60 or excellent condition example of the 1978 Kenner Star Wars Luke Skywalker action figure with telescoping saber realized $6,999 on eBay. The figure was on the earliest variation of the card that is referred to as a 12 back due to the card having illustrations of the original 12 action figures offered. The Luke Skywalker with telescoping saber is a rare variant which was originally only offered in the Early Bird set. The figure was then altered to the more common version of the action figure, however a small number of telescoping figures were packaged on card.

The telescoping light saber is not only found on Luke Skywalker, but also on a small number of Ben Kenobi and Darth Vader action figures also with these variations being rare whether loose or carded.

An original sketch of Tintin and Snowy by creator Georges Prosper Remi better known by his pen name, Hergé closed at $3,300 on eBay. The artwork was in very fine condition overall, with a vertical line running slightly through Tintin from where the paper was once folded.

The piece measured 31.5cm x 32cm matted and framed with UV shielded plexiglass. According to the seller they purchased this drawing in the official 2010 Tintin auction, sponsored by Moulinsart at the Piasa auction house in Paris and the artwork included a certificate of autheticity.

One lucky comic fan was able to purchase the entire original artwork to 100 Bullets #37 by Eduardo Risso. The artwork to the 22 pages sold for $4,499 on eBay. The art was in excellent condition from the August 2002 issue. The art was from "the Dizzy" issue of 100 Bullets and featured numerous key images of Chicago.

Certified collectibles are popular with collectors in numerous categories and graded toys are no exception. An AFA-graded 85 or Near Mint+ condition example of Transformers Fortress Maximus action figure sold for $3,000 on eBay.  According to AFA this is the first and only loose graded example of the largest Transformer everproduced standing at roughly two feet tall. This large action figure and similar toys are scarce in high grade due to difficulty with proper storage over the years.

The complete original art to the Mausoleum cover story from Vault of Horror #29 received 3 bids and sold on eBay for $11,749.95.

The eight page story was in excellent condition and measured 15x22" and featured artist Johnny Craig during the height of his work. The classic story featured the Vault Keeper and numerous zombies.

A Star Wars Jawa action figure AFA 75 or sold for $3,500. The Star Wars Jawa was the rare vinyl cape version that was only available for a limited time before being replaced with the standard cloth cape Jawa figure. The vinyl cape was replaced as it was decided that it looked cheap and that the cloth cape would make it look more substantial.

The cover art to Nexus #39 from First Comics featuring the Loomis Sisters realized $3,612 online. The origial art was oil on board and measured
approxately 15 x 20". According to Steve it featured some restoration as it was framed under glass several years ago which damaged it. The art was in excellent collection after being restored by Steve and was a great opportunity to purchase a piece of original art from comic artist Steve Rude the Dude.
